Hamilton, VA - Loudoun County
Town of Hamilton

Hamilton is situated between Purcellville and Leesburg and was once a thriving summer retreat for Washington residents. When the Washington and Old Dominion railroad began running from Alexandria to Hamilton in 1868, the area flourished. A self-guided walking tour booklet titled "East to West Tour" takes you through this charming community of Victorian homes. Tour booklets are available at the Hamilton Town Office. Don't miss the town's antique shops along the way.

If traveling through Hamilton, be sure to stop by Planet Wayside, a truly unique dining establishment located on Route 7 in Hamilton. Written up in The Washington Post's "Crummy But Good" section, this tiny old diner serves delicious sandwiches and barbeque all with a bit of sparkling wit alongside.

Hamilton Day is a community celebration held in June.
